Chowdeck is a Lagos, Nigeria-based technology company that offers an on-demand delivery platform for meals, groceries, medicine, and other essentials. Founded in October 2021 by Femi Aluko, Olumide Ojo, and Lanre Yusuf, it connects consumers with local restaurants and merchants through an intuitive mobile app, enabling users to quickly place orders and benefit from fast home delivery.
The startup has gained significant traction in Africa with operations in several major Nigerian and Ghanaian cities. It has raised substantial funding, including a $9 million Series A round led by Novastar Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator and other investors, to expand its services, accelerate deliveries, and strengthen its logistics infrastructure.
In addition to food delivery, Chowdeck also offers services like Chowpass (a subscription with benefits) and Relay (parcel delivery), extending its offering far beyond just food delivery. The company aims to simplify access to everyday goods and services through a seamless digital experience.
